Brandon Boyd’s work as a singer, songwriter, both as a solo artist and with his platinum-selling rock band, Incubus, is well documented and universally acclaimed. His other life’s work -- that of a painter -- has also been garnering increasing attention and devoted audiences of its own for over a decade.
Brandon has published three books of his visual art: White Fluffy Clouds (2003), From the Murks of the Sultry Abyss (2007), So the Echo (2013), and has also published puzzles and games. Among dozens of book signings, group and solo exhibitions, special collaborative projects, and philanthropic arts, Brandon has showed a mixture of both expressive and abstract paintings, prints, and drawings in international cities including Amsterdam, Cape Town, London, Paris, Rome, Zurich and across the U.S. in all major cities such as Aspen, Austin, Dallas, Las Vegas, Miami and Seattle. He has participated in various art fairs such as Art Miami and Scope Art Fair during Miami Art Week and has had multiple residencies at Montauk mini mecca, The Surf Lodge, as well as large scale installations at locations such as Hard Rock Hotel.
Ever the multi-hyphenate, in 2021 Brandon made his acting debut and emerged in a cameo on the hit FX series ‘Reservoir Dogs.’ Also in 2021 he appeared as a celebrity mentor on ‘American Idol’ to who would become the ‘Idol’ winner, Chayce Beckham. Truly in a constant state of creativity, in 2022 he also released a well-received solo album, Echoes and Cocoons, debuting its first single 'Pocket Knife' in late November and the second, 'Petrichor' that December.
In May and June of the current year, Incubus was finally able to execute a long-awaited European tour bringing them to all major cities and marking the first time the band played in Croatia. They will embark on an extensive U.S. leg for the second half of summer into the fall that will culminate in October in the band’s hometown of Los Angeles at The Hollywood Bowl.
